Megyn Kelly has not been doing well since she moved to NBC. Her shows have been losing to reruns of Americas Funniest Home Videos and Dateline. Her final show reached a low of only 2.71 million viewers. Her show was supposed to last for 10 episodes got shut down after 8. Instead of admitting this she just announced that she was changing times.
“That’s it for the summer run of #SundayNight. We’ll be back in the spring. And I’ll see you on @TODAYshow Sept. 25 at 9 a.m.!” tweeted Megyn Kelly. But the internet was quick to call her out. “So @nbc ended the misery early. Canceled after 8, short of the 10 planned. Should not have messed with your previous FOX fans. No fans now,” wrote one user.
“You were cancelled. 8 episodes into your 10 episode run,” another wrote. “nice way to spin the cancellation of the show due to poor ratings,” wrote another.
“Megyn is already shooting for the morning show. She was just on the West Coast for a shoot on Tuesday,” said an insider to page six. Breitbart wrote how this is a ploy.
“An NBC spinmeister claimed Kelly’s show was going off the air after this week’s show because she needs to be ‘freed up to focus’ on her morning show. Translation: Kelly needs to do all she can to not ruin NBC’s crown jewel ‘Today’ franchise. Network executives, who reportedly have been freaking out about Kelly’s poor ratings, are probably praying that Kelly simply does no more harm than she has already done in her short time at the network,” writes Breitbart.
